Biography
Col (ret) Ph.D. hab., is the Dean of the Baltic Defense College in Tartu, Estonia, and a visiting professor of the Latvian National Defence University in Riga. He completed his education at the Polish National Defense University in Warsaw, the US Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, USA and also in the Center of Strategic Studies of the People’s Liberation Army National Defense University, Beijing, China, among other places. During his military service, he served as the Chief of Operational Branch J-3 in KFOR Headquarters in Kosovo, and also as the Chief of Operational Planning Branch J-5 of the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command in Warsaw. While working for various Polish military educational institutions, he was the Chief of Combat Service Support Chair, at the Mechanized Forces Military Academy in Wroclaw, and also served as the Head of the Military Studies Branch, at the National Defense University, Warsaw. Since his retirement, he has been involved in academia, providing education at operational and strategic levels and actively participating in academic conferences and events as a panelist and moderator. He has published books and papers related to current security developments in Asia and Europe, especially concerning the security of the Baltic Sea region.
