Matej Savić

Biography

Ph.D. – is an associate professor at the University of Banja Luka’s Faculty of Political Sciences and Faculty of Law. Since 2015, he has held a Ph.D. in legal sciences (Doctor of Legal Sciences) and his field of scientific specialty is primarily public international law. He is also continuously engaged in research in the field of Theory of State and Law, European Union Law and Legal Theory. Professor Savić is a member of the Association of Lawyers of the Republic of Srpska and the Association of Lawyers of the Republic of Serbia. He is a member of the European Society of International Law (ESIL) and the International Society of Public Law – Central and Eastern European Chapter (ICONS – CEE Chapter). He is a long-term associate of the Institute of International Politics and Economics of Belgrade, and an editorial board member of the European Union Legislation Journal. From 2018 to 2022, he was a counsellor for legal issues to the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska. Since the beginning of 2024, he has been a visiting professor at the University of East Sarajevo’s Faculty of Law. He is the author of four books, and the author, co-author, and/or editor of more than forty scientific and expert papers. He has participated in a large number of scientific and expert conferences and projects of national and international character both in his home country, region, and abroad. He has published scientific works in, inter alia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Croatia, Poland, and Austria.
