Jan Otto Andersson

Biography

Docent in International Economics at Åbo Akademi University, Finland. Retired acting professor in Economics. Dr. Andersson has a storied history as a researcher abroad, including stints in Stockholm between 1966–1969, Moscow in 1974, Budapest in 1978, Aalborg in 1980, Grenoble and Paris in 1982, and London between 1988–1989. His published works include the books: Studies in the Theory of Unequal Exchange between Nations (1976), Den förbryllande nationalstaten (1982), Vänsterframtid – Nationalekonomiska studier av fordismens kris och morgondagens alternativ (1988), and Elements of Ecological Economics (with Ralf Eriksson), (2010). Dr. Andersson is also the author of articles on the Nordic economic and social models, European integration, basic income, degrowth, and ecologically unequal exchange.
