Jan Jakub Michałek

Biography

full professor and a graduate of the University of Warsaw and the College of Europe in Brugge. In the early 1990s, he worked as Deputy Representative of Poland to the WTO. He also was a visiting professor at Sussex University and Universite de l’Havre. He was a Dean at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw for eight years and currently holds the position of a professor of International Economics. He teaches international economics, international trade policy, and Economics of EU Integration. He has published several books and papers analysing various aspects of trade policy (accession to the EU or Brexit) and determinants of trade flows. He has published inter alia in the Journal of Policy Modeling, The Journal of International Trade & Economic Development, International Journal of Emerging Markets, Eastern European Economics, Economic Research and the Equilibrium Quarterly Journal of Economics and Economic Policy.
