Biography
Ph.D., is a full professor at the University of Warsaw’s Centre for Europe, in addition to being a professor at the Jacob of Paradies University in Gorzów Wielkopolski, where he specialises in European Union law, public international law, and international/European political relations. Professor Czachór is a Permanent Advisor at the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration in Poland’s Sejm. He is Chairman of the Program Council of the Centre for European Research and Education as well as being President of the Board of the Polish Association for European Studies. His research interests focus on broadly-understood issues of European integration. Professor Czachór is the author of many scientific articles, published both in Poland and abroad, with the subject of his first monograph (his doctoral dissertation) being the system of European Political Cooperation, recognised as the first institutionalised form of joint coordination of foreign policy among the Member States of the European Communities. This work was a combination of both the theoretical approach to European integration and its practice in the sphere of international (global) political relations. His habilitation thesis was devoted to the changes and developments taking place in the European Union system after the Maastricht Treaty. His professor’s book was centered on crises within the European Union.
