Yasmine Loza

Biography

Ph.D., holds a doctorate in Social Science and Human Rights from the Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra (2020). She earned her MA in Political Science and International Relations from the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (2014), and her BA in Sociology and Psychology from the American University in Cairo, Schoolof Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Sociology, Egyptology, and Anthropology (2012). Her research lies at the intersections of European studies, culture and identity, and peace and security studies. She contributes to critical theoretical frameworks that incorporate standpoint and representation in knowledge domains and foster international dialogue within multidisciplinary social, legal, and political contexts, including both academic and media spheres.
