Silvia Ručinská

Biography

Ph.D., is professor of political science at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, Košice, Slovakia. Her research and publications focus on regional ecosystems, public management and policy, digitalisation, and disinformation. She holds a Ph.D. in Sectoral Economics and has worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Applied Sciences, Ludwigsburg, Germany, and at Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic. She has participated in European projects on management in small and medium-sized municipalities (KoWist), digital and green cities (DiGreen), and, since 2024, she has worked on digital society and digital humanism (EURIDICE). Within a broader European perspective, she also contributed to a study and analysis for the OECD within the project Strengthening the Resilience of Public Administration after COVID-19 with the Common Assessment Framework (CAF). She has been part of an international consortium analysing disinformation in public policy (Counterfake), and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cluster Košice IT Valley.
