Ozan Sabri Tuncer

Biography

is a graduate of the Department of International Relations and holds a master’s degree in the same field, with a thesis focused on Cyber Security and Defence Policies within the framework of Realist Theory. This semester, he is preparing to begin his PhD studies in the Department of International Relations at Istanbul University. His research interests encompass the European Union, migration, security, cyberspace, and foreign policy, and has participated in both national and international conferences and workshops related to these topics, and has authored numerous national and international articles, book chapters, and other scholarly works. He is also an independent researcher. Some of his notable academic contributions include studies on: Cyber Deterrence, a critical analysis of migration and security from the perspective of the Aberystwyth School (with a focus on Poland); Concepts of Security from a Political Science Perspective; Cyber Security and Defence Diplomacy; and an exploration of cyberspace in International Relations through Realist Theory. Additionally, he has conducted research on Ukraine’s balance policy between the European Union and Russia, as well as on the historical context of coups in Niger. Currently, he is studying at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (Burdur, Türkiye) in the Faculty of Law.
