Biography
PhD, Associate Professor at the Centre for Europe, University of Warsaw. A sociologist and political philosopher, and a graduate of the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw
and Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Co-founder of
the Social Movements Analysis Team Foundation (ZARS). Member of the
International Sociological Association (ISA) and the Polish Sociological
Association. He conducts research on the history of ideas, the theory of
social movements and socio-cultural changes in Europe, in particular the
problems of political and economic populism. Author of many research
projects, qualitative sociological surveys and numerous scientifi c articles
published in Polish and Foreign Journals. He recently published a book
entitled: The Shadow of Radicalism; the notion of radicalism in the light of the
theory of social movements.
