Lefteris Topaloglou

Biography

Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia, specialising in energy transition and development transformation policies. He is the Director of the Institute of Energy Development and Transition to the Post-Lignite Era (UCRI TEMENUS) and Head of the Energy Transition and Development Transformation Laboratory (ENTRA Lab). With academic training in political science and regional development, and a Ph.D. focusing on European integration and border dynamics, his research addresses just energy transitions, spatial justice, and governance. Since 2001, he has taught in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has participated in 28 research projects, including three as a scientific manager. He has published extensively in scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings.
