Katarzyna Strąk

Biography

a PhD Doctor of Law, and a researcher at the Institute of Law Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her research interests comprise European Union Law, including the Area of Freedom, Security, and Justice (EU immigration and asylum policies), fundamental rights, the internal market, EU Citizenship, and application of Polish Law on Aliens. She has been involved in evaluations for the European Commission in Horizon 2020 (Secure Societies – Protecting the Freedom and Security of Europe and its Citizens) as well as in NAWA programmes (Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej – the National Agency for Academic Exchange). She has also had experience as an external peer reviewer for The LEaDing Fellows Postdocs Programme (The Netherlands, 2019), and as an ad hoc reviewer for the Polish Review of International and European Law and the Polish Yearbook of International Law.
