Ivana Tucak

Biography

Ph.D., is a full professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Osijek, Croatia, specialising in legal theory and the theory of the state. She serves as Head of the Department of International Law, Legal Theory and Methodology. Her research focuses on theories of rights, constitutional rights, bioethics, human rights, and public health law. She is President of the Scientific Council of the Croatian Academy of Legal Sciences and a member of the Executive Board of the International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR). Dr. Tucak is Editor- in-Chief of Pravni vjesnik. She leads the NRRP Institutional Research Project, Contemporary Challenges in Human Rights Protection – HRights (2025–2029), and participates in the Jean Monnet Module European Union and Gender Equality – EUGEquality (2023–2026).
