Guranda Chelidze

Biography

PhD in History, an Affiliated Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Science (CSH) of the Caucasus University. She is a specialist in the modern and contemporary history of the countries of Europe and America, and is academic head of the BA program of European Studies at CSH (https://cu.edu.ge/en/schoolss/csh/about-us-csh/cshlecturers). Guranda Chelidze received her PhD from Ivane Janakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1998. Since 1996 she has been employed by the Ivane Janakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Caucasus University. She holds regular lectures on European Integration, EU Enlargement, History of Europe and Political Science. Guranda Chelidze is a coordinator and expert of the Caucasus University Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project “Triangle Effect of European Studies at Schools” (TEESS), expert of the Caucasus University Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project “Legal Face of European Union” (LFEU). Guranda Chelidze is a participant of numerous scientific conferences in Georgia and abroad, has had 37 scientific articles published in Georgia and abroad. Last year, as co-author, she published European Association Process in Georgia – Handbook for History and Civic Education Teachers.
