Ewa Krogulec

Ph.D., DSc, is a professor at the University of Warsaw and a geologist and hydrogeologist specialising in the protection and quality of groundwater resources. She serves as Vice-Rector for Development at the University of Warsaw for the 2020–2024 and 2024–2028 terms. For the 2026–2029 term, she serves as President of the Polish National Committee of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH). She graduated from the Faculty of Geology at the University of Warsaw, where she obtained her Ph.D. and habilitation in Earth sciences in the field of hydrogeology; she was awarded the title of Professor in 2018. From 2012 to 2020, she served as Dean of the Faculty of Geology at the University of Warsaw and previously held the positions of Vice-Dean and Deputy Director of the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology. She currently heads the Department of Hydrogeology and Geophysics at the Faculty of Geology of the University of Warsaw, is the author or co-author of around 200 scholarly publications, and has led more than 40 research projects in the fields of geology, hydrogeology, and environmental protection. She is also a member of several scientific and advisory bodies, including the Committee on Water Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Hydrogeological Documentation Commission.
