Biography
Assistant Professor at Anadolu University. A graduate of Atılım University, Department of International Relations in 2003. After Atılım University, Dr Akdemir completed his Master’s degree at the University of Ankara, Department of International Relations. The title of his Master’s thesis was The Role of Think Tanks in the Decision Making Process of American Foreign Policy: A Case of the Middle East. He received his PhD from the University of Ankara’s Department of International Relations. The title of his PhD thesis is The Formation of European Identity and Culture in the Context of Discussions of Identity and Culture and the Influence of Turkey–EU Relations, Dr Akdemir has been working at the Anadolu University Faculty of Economics Department of International Relations as an Assistant Professor since 2013. He carried out part of his doctoral education at the University of Warsaw’s Journalism and Political Science Department of International Relations and at the Centre for Europe in Poland.
