Emiliana Konopka

Biography

M.A., is an art historian and Scandinavian scholar, and currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Gdańsk. Her doctoral research focuses on Nordic art at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, with particular emphasis on concepts of national and Nordic identity. She is the co-editor of Antologia naukowa. Islandia: Język. Naród. Natura (University of Warsaw, 2017), and the author of the popular-science project Utulę Thule (www.utulethule.pl) along with the book Nordyckie Opowieści on Nordic folklore (2024). She also works as a culture and science specialist at the Embassy of Iceland in Poland.
