Biography
a lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Department of Humanities at the Rīga Stradiņš University. She holds an MA in Regional Policy and Public Administration. Currently, she is continuing her PhD in Political Science at the Rīga Stradiņš University. In her academic career, she has focused on issues concerning education, youth, civil society, democracy, and political activism (political participation, ethics in politics, and the integration of European values). At the Department of Humanities, she is more focused on philosophical anthropology. Her research interests focus on public policy, and youth-based political participation. She is a participant in the national research project “Values in Action: the Promotion of Responsible, Secure, and Educated Civil Society in Latvia through Research and Model Development”. She has worked as an intern with Krišjānis Arturs Kariņš, a former Member of the European Parliament, and current Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia.
