Dovile Jakniunaite

Biography

Ph.D., is a professor at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University, where she serves as the Head of the International Relations Department. Her primary areas of expertise include foreign policy analysis, security studies, international relations theory, and border studies. Dr. Jakniūnaitė’s research focuses on Lithuanian foreign and security policy, security dynamics within the Central and Eastern European region, Russian foreign policy, and territorial conflicts in Georgia and Ukraine. Additionally, her work explores the European Union’s Eastern Partnership policy and the governance of emergencies. She is the author of seminal works on Russia’s neighbourhood policy and the territorial conflicts in Georgia.
