Biography

Doctor Habilitatus, and a senior research fellow of the Russia in Eastern Europe Program at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM). She is an associate professor of security studies at the Faculty of Business and International Relations in the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula in Warsaw. She is also deputy editorin-chief of the journal “Sprawy Międzynarodowe” [International Affairs]. She was vice-rector at the National Defence University in Warsaw from 2015 to 2016. She holds two master degrees in International Relations (2002) and East Studies (2003), obtained from Warsaw University. She obtained a Ph.D. in Security Studies at the National Defence University in 2005. In 2014, she received her habilitation (a senior doctorate) from the National Defence University. Her areas of expertise include Russian foreign and internal policy, security issues and confl icts in the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood, EU-Russia and NATO-Russia relations, Russian disinformation, and hybrid threats. Her recent work includes monographs and several analytical studies concerning the domestic and foreign policies of Russia, including the report “Kremlin Kids: The Second Generation of the Russian Elite” (PISM, 2019)
